Description:  D/D Southeast

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:   E/W die scratches through and below the 19 of the date.  W by N/E by S die scratch through the center of the O in GOD.  Die gouge above the last T of TRUST.  Obverse Stage B:  All stage A markers abraded away except for a weak scratch through the 19 of the date.  Die chip on right center of the 6 in the date.  A group of die scratches running SW to NE at the edge of Lincoln’s lower lapel.  Reverse Stage A:  E/W die scratches through and below USA.  ENE/WSW die scratch above the right wheat stem.  Die scratch north then turning NE from the upper left side of the N of ONE.  Die scratch running east and west inside the O of ONE.  Reverse Stage B:  All stage A markers abraded away except for a weak scratch above the wheat stem.  Die scratch north from the upper left side of the second U in PLURIBUS.

1946-D 1¢ WRPM-003

Description:  D/D/D East & West

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  There is a die scratch left of T in LIBERTY running north to south.  Several light die scratches run roughly east from the hairline.  A die scratch runs NNE/SSW behind Lincoln’s neck.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack is present above VDB running east and ending to the right of VDB at the edge of the bust.  A small die crack is present on the head.  A die gouge is present below O in GOD.  The die scratches seen on Stage A are no longer visible.  Obverse Stage C:  Die crack continues at the edge of the bust south to the rim.  Die crack on the head extends across the entire head and nearly enters the field below WE.  Die gouge present below O in GOD still visible.  Reverse Stage A:  There are die clash remnants running through O in ONE and C in CENT.  There are the remnants of a die clash through I in AMERICA.  A strong die gouge (dot) is present in the lower E in CENT.  Reverse Stage B:  The stage A die clashes and strong die gouge (dot) are still visible.  Reverse Stage C:  New reverse die.
