1999 1¢ WDDO-001         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A strong partial earlobe can be found to the right of the normal earlobe.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found well south of the last 9 in the date.  A small die gouge can be found to the right of the lower G in GOD.  The obverse shows evidence of abrasion to remove die clash marks in the area behind the neck and around the ear suggesting that pre-die clash specimens may even show more of the extra earlobe.  Reverse:  Two small die gouges can be found below the right end of the Memorial.  Strong die clash marks show in the lower 4th and 9th Memorial bays.  A die clash mark runs south from the bottom of the Memorial below the post to the right of the steps.
