Die Markers:  Obverse:  Light die scratches run mostly SW/NE through the date.  Reverse:  None significant.

1959-D 1¢ WDDO-002

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Light die scratches run throughout the obverse in a circular pattern.  Reverse:  A short die scratch runs NNW/SSE on the left base of the Memorial.  A short vertical die scratch can be found to the left of the bottom of the first Memorial column.

1959-D 1¢ WDDO-003

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse also has a minor RPM listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1959-D 1¢ WRPM-050.  It is a D/D Tilted (Rotated) showing on the lower serif.  Reverse:  A short die scratch extends from the bottom right of the M in AMERICA.  A short vertical die scratch can be found to the left of the top of the E in AMERICA.

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found just below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found just to the right of the tip of the nose.  Two strong die cracks run WSW/ENE through the hair above the ear.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the upper T in UNITED.  A small die gouge can be found above the designer’s initials.

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found just below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Parallel die scratches run E/W to the right of the top of the ear.  A die crack runs ENE from the top of the ear passing through the upper forehead.  A large die chip can be found in the hair on the upper back of the head.  Reverse:  None significant.

Description:  Two extra eyelids can be found below the normal eyelid.  Doubling also shows inside the upper nine in the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die scratches run south from the 19 in the date.  A die scratch runs NE from the front of the vest to the left of the lower one in the date.  Other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the right of the I in UNITED.  Large die chips can be found on the top of and on the right side of the right cornice.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The mint mark was punched high and almost touches the bottom of the nine in the date.  A die scratch connects the top of the O and the top of the D in GOD.  Reverse:  A large die chip can be found on the right side of the right cornice.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Parallel die scratches run from the upper E in WE to the upper first T in TRUST.  Die scratches run E/W through the upper ear.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found inside the C in AMERICA.

Description:  Extra thickness spread towards the center shows on ONE CENT and the designer’s initials.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die gouge can be found under the right side of the horizontal crossbar of the first T in TRUST.  A die scratch runs SW/NE to the right of the Y in LIBERTY.  A die scratch runs from the bowtie NE to the beard.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack runs N/S through the hair below the W in WE.  A die crack runs NE from the top of the ear partially into the back of the forehead.  Reverse Stage A:  A light die scratch runs through the upper UN of UNUM.  A short die gouge runs SSE from the top of the last Memorial bay.  Two parallel die scratches run NNE from the top of the first column to the top of the first bay.  Reverse Stage B:  Die cracks run down the first two Memorial columns.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Two parallel die scratches run NE from the forehead.  Three short parallel die scratches run SW from the lower back of the head.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse.  Reverse:  Several die scratches run E/W above the statue of Lincoln.  Nearly horizontal die scratches run through the lower UN in UNUM.
