1994 1¢ WDDO-001

Description:  Extra thickness and separation shows on IGWT with the strongest spread on TRUST.  Nice separation shows on most hair details at the top of the head.  The eyelid shows slight doubling.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die chip can be found in the upper B of LIBERTY.  A die gouge can be found near the rim at about 10:00.  A die gouge can be found midway between WE and TRUST.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs from the T in UNITED over the left side of the Memorial.  A die gouge can be found between the lower C and E in CENT.

1994 1¢ WDDO-002

Description:  A very close spread towards the center shows on the lower right R in TRUST as a notch, and on the hair details below WE TRUST.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge (dot) can be found on Lincoln’s collar well east of the Y in LIBERTY.  A small die gouge (dot) can be found just to the left of the top of the I in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die gouge (feeder finger scrape) runs SE from the top of the 1st Memorial column.  Die gouges (feeder finger scrapes) run from SW to NE through the ITE in UNITED.

1994 1¢ WDDR-001

Description:  Extra thickness shows on UNITED, ONE CENT, AMERICA, and the designer’s initials.  Notches show on the upper letters of ONE CENT, especially the N in ONE, and the lower 2nd A in AMERICA.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A strong die scratch connects the upper 1 and first 9 in the date.  Mostly parallel die scratches run from west to east below TRUST.  Reverse:  A short die scratch runs NE from the upper 6th column.  A short diagonal die scratch can be found just to the left of the center of the O in ONE.  A light die crack connects the upper N and I in UNITED.  A die scratch runs ENE from the G in the designer’s initials.

1994 1¢ WDDR-002          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Parts of extra Memorial columns can be seen in the lower 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 10th Memorial bays from a very wide spread to the east from an offset hub (Class IV).  Nearly a full extra column shows in the 11th Memorial bay.  The top of the post to the left of the steps can be found in the lower 2nd bay.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Numerous die scratches run mostly from SSW to NNE to the left and to the right of the bust.  A die scratch runs from SW to NE through the O of GOD.  A die scratch runs from SW to NE through the left side of the 1st 9 in the date.  Reverse:  A small die gouge (dot) can be found inside the lower 1st A in AMERICA.  Two short die gouges can be found at the top of the 1st Memorial bay.

1994 1¢ WDDR-003         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A Class V CCW spread from a pivot at about 10:00 shows on OF AMERICA, ONE CENT, the designer’s initials, and the lower right Memorial.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None noted.  Reverse:  A short, vertical die scratch can be found to the left of the top of the 2nd A in AMERICA.  A short die gouge can be found to the right of the upper D in UNITED.  Short, horizontal die scratches can be found in the lower 1st Memorial bay.  A short die gouge runs west from left center of the C in CENT.

1994 1¢ WDDR-004         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  An extra column can be seen in bay 11 while partial extra columns can be found in the lower 2nd and 3rd bays and also in bay 10.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die scratch runs south from the underside of the back of the chin.  Reverse:  A short, vertical die scratch can be found to the left of the N in UNITED.  A short, vertical die scratch can be found to the right of the top of the I in AMERICA.

1994 1¢ WDDR-005

Description:  Extra thickness shows on the designer’s initials.  Separation lines show on the roof designs just above the columns as well as on the upper right Memorial.  Notches show on some letters of USA, especially the lower right R in AMERICA and the upper left I in PLURIBUS.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die gouge can be found above the upper right T in LIBERTY.  A short die scratch runs NE from the tip of the nose.  Three die scratches can be found above the 19 in the date.  Reverse:  A short die scratch runs east from the lower right side of the 8th column.  A die scratch cluster can be found in the center of the 3rd bay.

Description:  Extra Memorial columns run down the centers of the 10th and 11th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A short die scratch runs SW from the bottom of the 2nd 9 in the date.  Obverse Stage B:  A die scratch runs ESE from the lower lip.  Reverse Stage A:  A light die scratch runs SW from the top of the 1st Memorial column.  A die scratch runs from north to south just to the right of the last Memorial column.  A die scratch runs from WSW to ENE above the O and N of ONE.  Two parallel die scratches run from WSW to ENE above the N in CENT.  Reverse Stage B:  A large die chip can be found on the left cornice.  A die crack runs NE from the right cornice through the bottom right tip of the R in AMERICA and out to the rim.

Description:  Extra Memorial columns can be found in the 10th and 11th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A vertical die gouge can be found above the right side of the R in LIBERTY.  A die scratch runs SSW from the back of the head to the left of the lower ear.  A vertical die gouge can be found above the 4.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs NW from the top of the left cornice to the E in UNITED.  Heavy feeder finger abrasions run from NW to SE through the A of STATES and through the TE of STATES.

Description:  Extra Memorial columns can be found in the 9th, 10th, and 11th Memorial bays and to the right of the upper 12th Memorial column.  Doubling also shows on the floor of the 10th and 11th bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short, vertical die gouge can be found above the right side of the T in LIBERTY.  A die gouge can be found to the right of the upper E in WE.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs north from the top of left of the N in UNITED.  A die gouge can be found below the right Memorial base.

Description:  A Class IV spread to the south resulted in extra floor lines in bays 1, 2, 3, 10, and 11.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found inside the upper N in UNITED.  A die gouge can be found between the bottoms of the N and T in CENT.  A die crack runs SSW from the bottom of the 9th Memorial column through the steps and down to the top of the E in CENT.  Light die cracks run down the 1st two columns.  Die chips can be found on the middle and lower part of the last column.
