Description:  A strong spread towards the center shows on IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, and the lower queue.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die dent can be found on the upper left of the B in LIBERTY.  A die scratch runs SW from the lower right of the R in TRUST.  A light die crack runs across the base of the bust.  A die crack runs E/W through the upper hair.  Reverse:  A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing.  A die crack runs through the leaves above the AR in DOLLAR.

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, the lower queue, and the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs SSW from the lower right of the R in TRUST.  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and into the lower queue.  A die crack runs E/W through the upper forehead extending through the upper hair.  Reverse:  A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing extending to the leave above the Q in QUARTER.  A die crack runs through PLURIBUS and down the eagle’s left wing ending at the C in AMERICA.

Description:  A very close spread towards the center shows on IGWT and the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs WSW from the bottom of the L in LIBERTY.  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and into the lower queue.  A die crack runs E/W through the upper forehead extending through the upper hair.  Reverse:  Diagonal die scratches can be found inside the lower R in AMERICA.  A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing extending to the Q in QUARTER.  A die crack runs through the eagle’s upper left wing.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs NE from the top of the O in GOD.  Reverse:  The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1963 25¢ WDDR-001.  A Class I CCW spread shows on USA, QUARTER DOLLAR, EPU, and slightly on the lower branch ends.  A heavy die gouge can be found between the upper left of the U in QUARTER and the leave above the U.

Description:  A CW spread from a pivot at about 12:00 shows on IGWT, the date, the designer’s initials, the lower queue, and LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A short die gouge runs NNE from the center right side of the 3 in the date.  Obverse Stage B:  A die chip can be found above the R in LIBERTY.  Obverse Stage C:  The same as Stage B.  Reverse Stage A:  A die crack runs from the S in PLURIBUS to the eagle’s upper left wing.  Reverse Stage B:  A die crack runs from the second U in PLURIBUS to the upper left wing.  Reverse Stage C:  A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing.

Description:  A spread towards the rim shows on IGWT.  An additional CW spread shows on the bottom of IN.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  None significant.  Obverse Stage B:  The CW spread at the bottom of IN has been abraded away.  Many of the details of the queue have also been abraded away.  Reverse Stage A:  A die scratch can be found on the upper second S in STATES.  A die gouge can be found between the upper second S in STATES and the O in OF.  Short die gouges extend from the rim between the R and I in AMERICA.  Reverse Stage B:  Same as Stage A.

Description:  A very close spread towards the center shows on IN, the TRU of TRUST, and the lower queue.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die scratch runs from the top left of the R in TRUST to the bottom right of the N of IN.  Die gouges can be found along the upper left side of the Y in LIBERTY.  A light die crack runs across the base of the bust.  Obverse Stage B:  The Stage A die scratch has been abraded away.  The die crack running across the base of the bust is much heavier and runs into the lower queue.  Numerous die scratches can now be found throughout the obverse.  Reverse Stage A:  A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing.  Reverse Stage B:  A die gouge can be found to the right of the center of the F in OF.

Description:  A Class II spread towards the center shows on IGWT, slightly on the date, the designer’s initials, the bottom of the ribbon, and the Y of LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch extends south from just to the left of the bottom of the 1st T of TRUST.  Two parallel die scratches extend northwest from the top of the G in GOD.  Several die scratches extend northwest from Washington’s nose.  Reverse:  Three parallel die scratches run from southwest to northeast between the bottom of the D in UNITED and the bottom of the 1st S in STATES.  A small die gouge can be found below the 2nd T of STATES.  A die crack runs through the BUS of PLURIBUS to the left wing.  A die crack runs down the outside of the right wing.

Description:  A strong Class II spread towards the center shows on the lower serifs in QUARTER DOLLAR, UNITED, AMERICA, both of the branches, the lower part of both wings, the bottom of the tail feathers, and the lower leaves.  The center talon on the eagle’s left leg shows nice doubling.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Several curved die scratches can be found on the base of the bust north of the 9 in the date.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs NW/SE on the center arrow feather.  A die scratch runs from the last tail feather on the right to the leave.

Description:  Doubling shows on the upper left side of the ST in STATES, the left side of the M in AMERICA, and the top inside of the C in AMERICA.
